Made for an activity on an online art forum. The activity was to design a half-giraffe, half-rabbit.
I went for a 90/10 giraffe/rabbit ratio. Rabbits are just too cute and frankly boring. Giraffes, on the other hand, are some of the silliest creatures around.
update:
This is the final image. I've upped the contrast a little and drawn a lens flare (I secretly love lens flares). Also played with the leg and tweaked a few things here and there.
I've updated my website - sherban art I messed with php photoalbum this week and some versions of slimbox to get my gallery up and going. still some little things left to sort but overall this is it. Go have a look.
also cause I never update this blog, here's an old piece of mine I've colored and reworked a bit.
A short movie directed by Sigalit Lifshitz. It was made as part of the Mabatim project for the Jerusalem Film Festival in 2005. Me and an animator friend (Arie Domnin) worked on this for a couple of months in the spring of that year. Domnin made the rigs and all the animation. I was in charge of modeling and designing the police robots. Also did the texturing, lighting, rendering and video compositing.
Due to time-constraints the rendering is without reflections, occlusion or GI. The scenes are lit only with regular 3d spotlights.
Found this sketch of an old character of mine and painted it over the weekend. Special thanks to K.Bar for actually making me sit down and prove to myself that I'm not all talk :P
Another character I started working on a while back and will probably never finish. I sorta like his shark-o-matic weapon but it would probably work better in an aquatic setting and not a desert setting liek the rest of his outfit would suggest.
